Policy Introduction
The Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) allows tourists to fly their drones under CASA regulations. The CASA has issued a series of regulations for drone flight operations, and some highlights of these regulations are listed below.

Steps to follow as a new drone pilot
- Do not fly near emergencies such as a car crashes, police operations, fires, and rescue operations.
- Do not fly drones within 30 meters of people.
- Fly only one drone at a time.
- Do not record or photograph people without their consent.
- Flying drones weighing 2 kg or less commercially is legal only when you obtain an operator accreditation and register your drone with CASA.
- Do not fly above festivals, stadiums, populated beaches, parks, busy roads, or footpaths.

Please read through your airline's battery transportation regulations when traveling with LiPo batteries.We've listed IATA safety and security regulations for battery transportation here for your reference, and most airlines’ regulations are similar to these.
Small Batteries
Battery Energy<100 Wh
Carry-on BaggageEach passenger can carry no more than 20 detached batteries on board. Attached batteries can be carried on board.
Checked-in BaggageDetached batteries cannot be checked in. Equipment with small attached batteries can be checked in.
Common EquipmentMavic Series, Phantom Series, Spark, Osmo Series, product accessories.

Medium Batteries
Battery Energy100-160 Wh
Carry-on BaggageEach passenger can carry no more than 2 detached batteries on board. Attached batteries can be carried on board.
Checked-in BaggageDetached batteries cannot be checked in. Equipment with medium attached batteries can be checked in.
Common EquipmentCertain Inspire and Matrice aircraft.
