Ainz-the-incredibly-unreliable-narrator, but that's half the fun of these books at this point. I think he really needed the break from Nazarick these past two books provided; he seemed much more willing to let down his guard a bit without the constant pressure of living up to his "children's" expectations so directly. (Also, he is definitely willfully oblivious on certain things they're getting up to under his command... the source of the parchment for higher-tiered spells being the biggest
example brought to the forefront again in this novel...) Worst thing about this book is that now I'm going to have to find something new to fill my craving for OP villain protagonist fiction until the next books in this series are published. Note: I read an English translation of this series.
Definitely lived up to all the buildup of the last volume. Neia Baraja is definitely one of my favourite characters in the series. And the result of her character development turned out to be very amusing by the ending of this volume. Also, definitely more gory and brutal than most of the other ones. But stuff like that doesn't bother me. Tore through this one within a day since I found it so interesting. So, I highly recommend it! Definitely lived up to all the buildup of the last volume. Neia Baraja was the MVP is now one of my new favourite characters of this series.
This is part 2 of the story started in the previous vol. It wraps everything up with a nice bow for this little excursion of our fav OP character who does it like usual. TBH, nothing new to see here. Much of the same as the other books. I think this will be the last thing I write about this series unless I see something in it that changes. I'm going to still read the books, but it's like watching a sitcom. It's a lot of the same thing over and over just in a new setting. Let's be honest here, there's very little to motivate the MC to actually grow as a character at all so he doesn't. The only thing that changes are HOW people die. I feel like this is starting to turn more into a comedic version of SAW more than anything else. Not really, but I'm serious, the descriptions of how people die seems to be one the few highlights in this book. With that said, I do enjoy the book. A bunch of mindless violence. So if you are looking for deep and riveting, skip this. If you want the Expendables but in light novel format...Give this series a spin. ...more

Looking forward to reading the next volume .the story gets better and better after each vol .
Finally finished the last novel. I CAN FINALLY SLEEP PROPERLY AAAAAAAAAA.
All hail his majesty lord of darkness! This volume was the best yet in such a different way. Finishing up from where the previous volume left off, a bulk of this book follows Neia and turns her character
into a devout worshipper. The story beats hit on a scale from l hilarious snorts to goosebump inducing power trips. The only bad things to note (extremely few) are that writer still has some extra fat in the scenes, over used translated phrases, and it seems that near the end Maruyama just wanted to be finished. That said, a lot of the puffier scenes of diplomatic dialogue or battle reactions seemed to be long winded and didn’t
really add to the already established gravity of the scene. The words ‘in other words’ has been a staple reoccurrence in the translations like ‘marionette with its strings cut’ but I feel there’s too much of that near the end. Speaking of the end, the pacing kind of gets fast forwarded in the last battle and the epilogue. Fortunately everything else in the book came up aces. I really loved the characters, the direction the series is going, and the development of older characters we were
barely been introduced to. The scenes grip you and have you laughing along to the big inside joke being played. Overall 10/10… can’t wait for the next volume to be translated so I can add volume 14 to my Overlord shelf.
I just don't understand why this book has such a high rating. It really isn't that good at all. What keeps me coming back is following the story of the main character and the unique,
interesting world and characters. This book focuses on side characters, like the previous one, that are easily forgettable and not part of the main saga. Factor in the lack of growth for the main character and his odd ability to be strangely nonchalant about mass murder in one book and then tripping over himself to prevent the death of a single person, makes this entire series absolutely batshit insanity. I
still want to read the series because, as I mentioned, I'm super interested to see where it goes but I can't help but wish the characters in the series was written better.
The Saga is rushed This, the 13th installment is typical in style and substance - it’s everything you’ve come to expect, except perhaps the focus having
pulled away from the series protagonist. Even then, this is not unprecedented. This, the 13th installment is typical in style and

does happens to work out great. what a deus ex machine. Here we see him try a "oh I am dead" how will you handle it trial run and we don't see anyone falling for it. We don't see how they handled it. Where is the challenge man this dude is too op. Here we see him try a "oh I am dead" how will you handle it trial run and we don't see anyone falling for it. We don't see how they handled it. Liked the world building and especially the comedy. Especially towards the end when all the threads we had come together for the best punchline, though this is not a comedy, it is one of the few works whose comedy transcends the anime production. (It does not have an adaptation for this part of the story as of the writing of this review.)
There are a lot of questions I wanted to be answered to the point where I was very disappointed when I finished the book. Hopefully, it will be answered by the next issue. The book was generally good
A bit weaker than the first volume, but still pretty good. Neia was a fun character to see turned to fanatic, but a bit more Ainz or others would have been fun. Still a good conclusion to this Sacred Kingdom part!
5/5 stars all around. I'm amazed. Impressed.
Flabbergasted. Bamboozled. In awe. Book 12 as a set up for this book is WORTH IT. Holy crap. My eyes hurt from reading three days straight, all day each time, but this migraine is so worth it. Another magnificent volume in the Overlord Light Novels. Looking forward to when the next volume hits shelves in Japan.
5 stars. Longest and best volume yet, hilarious and gave me true goosebumps while reading.
Good conclusion to the arc of the Holy Kingdom. I really like the characters in this arc. I also love how every resolves. Very clever.
Amazing book, amazing series. If only they came out faster.
Amazing Love the overlord books I can’t get enough wish the author would not stop writing can’t wait for the next one
And that's a wrap. And that's a wrap. ...more
First part was really really good. The second part has less Ainz, and becomes a bit boring with all the worshipping going on :S
Love this series. Can't wait for the next one. Love this series. Can't wait for the next one. ...more
One thing Maybe we can get a little more foreshadowing on the device’s behind the scenes, hopefully we’ll get to see this in the anime
The expansion begun to spread in a large area. Although until now, there are no truly nemesis if the main character. The problems was not difficult enough to solve.
Really amazing volume, a brilliant climax to the story arc.
Quite enjoyable. I really enjoyed how the author was able to wrap everything up so succinctly with the end of the
novel, especially with the foundations laid for upcoming stories.
